BARR-NONE BRIDGE CLUB |

Bridge is fun! |

|
We arrange bridge days in aid of charities suggested by our members. They are held at the Tickton Grange Hotel. Players arrive from 10.00 a.m. for coffee and some of the famous Tickton Hotel flapjack. There is a chance to buy raffle tickets or something from the charity stall before the serious business of the day begins. The first session of duplicate bridge starts at 10.30 a.m. followed by lunch with tea/coffee and Tickton hand-made truffles. The second session of bridge finishes by 3.45 p.m. and is followed by the presentation of prizes to the winners and the cheque to the charity’s representative. For some players this is their first introduction to duplicate bridge. Our tournament director, Helen Barr, ensures that they learn that a well-run com petition is also an enjoyable experience. The profits from the day are topped up by a donation from the club. |
